An Act Concerning the Tobacco Settlement and a Tuition Assistance Program.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 185b of the general statutes be amended to establish a tuition assistance program for students who have a B average or higher to attend state institutions of higher education and to fund the program with moneys from the tobacco settlement.
Statement of Purpose: To establish a tuition assistance program and to fund it with moneys from the tobacco settlement.
